A Short Biography of Adam Whitedove

Adam Whitedove has been involved with solar technologies, peace activism, and permaculture for 40 years. In 1988 he completed a degree in electrical engineering where he earned Summa Cum Laude. In 1991 he was certified as Photovoltaic System Design Engineer by the Seimens Solar Corporation. Since then he has worked for several solar contractors in California and Oregon visiting hundreds of solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, created Sunfarmer Energy Services, a solar contracting company in Oregon, as well as taught and written technical manuals on the subject. He has worked with Lost Valley Educational Center in recent years to revive solar usage there and teach courses in solar energy systems. He is a permaculture entrepreneur and enjoys bicycling nearly everywhere he goes.


Blessings of Peace and a Prosperous New Year

Today, the Whitedoves celebrate the first birthday of our website www.cloud9paradigm.com. We launched the website with our Creed of Peace page. In our first year blogging we reached over 40 countries and 2000 page views! We feel blessed to be on the web like this and look forward to expanding our site as a permaculture resource for everyone. Thank you all for your support. We appreciate you and we love you. May we experience Unity in Peace and Prosperity during the upcoming year. Picture 2

Gracias a Dios Bendicion



Our Friend leaves a voicemail:  “Come over and go to the hot-springs with me, then I’ll make you guys dinner and we can have a little jam session”. My legs, the night before and still today are stiff and cramping from bicycling and gardening work at the bottom of a steep hill. Now that’s a good idea I’m thinking.


So we close shop early and head for McCready Hot springs. We get there and the parking lot is improved with a bathroom. The foot path to the pool is covered with crunchy snow. The pool is crowded with just enough room for newcomers. Soon after we enter the shallow warm-up pool a few people depart and we quickly move to the deep, hotter section of the hot spring. Ahh, sensual delight and healing hot water.


Our Friend recognizes a kindred spirit likely of South American descent and greets him warmly in Spanish. Then our Friend says he’s always wanting to learn Spanish and asks “how do you say ‘thank god for these blessings’ in Spanish”?

“Gracias a Dios bendicion” the gentleman replied. Gracias a Dios bendicion indeed! May all being appreciate the blessings of nature. Enjoy peace.







Why Meditate?

As I continue to research on how to transform painful manifestations into healing, meditation keeps coming up.  In a recent Facebook message by David (from the Global Brain Project http://www.projectglobalbrain.com/) after this past Saturdays weekly global meditation, I found a way to explain some serious benefits of meditation, not only to others, but to myself (since I tend to require lots of explaining so I can really claim it and remember it). Here is what he had to share…

“Mind and body are not separate entities. They are one unit and influences on one aspect of that unit have effects on many other aspects. Although our experience with meditation might be one of deep relaxation of both mind and body, its effects are manifold. That deep relaxation indicates the experience of higher levels of consciousness. That, however, is only half of it for that level of consciousness is linked to a particular region of the nervous system which influences the thoughts that arise in that zone. Actively interfacing with such a deep level of the nervous system releases deep stresses that would otherwise probably never be released. Every time a stress is eliminated, consciousness becomes a freer and more liberated entity within the life of the individual.”

“At the same time, the nervous system becomes stronger, more capable and more responsive. In such a state, it is possible for the higher consciousness that one experiences after meditation to be assimilated by the nervous system. This is accomplished by engaging in gentle activity following meditation. The key word here is ‘gentle.’ Time to make yourself a cup of tea, perhaps? When this fine layer of higher consciousness becomes integrated into your nervous system it becomes a part of you, yours for ever. This is true evolution.” by David from the Global Brain Project
